Good Morning Carol, Our program is called Sonlight/Sondial and the only similarity between us and Net Nanny is to give parents/guardians/etc the ability to protect their children. From what I know of Net Nanny the control is totally the responsibility of the parent. The theory is good but the performance is a challenge because the people promoting pornography, etc, targeted at a younger audience, "hide" their products within words like "toys", "animals", etc. In other words it is the parents responsibility to control the environment which would require the parent to be extremely knowledgeable on how to prevent these things appearing in front of the wrong audience. They would need to do a treemendous amount of searching and build some type of table of words or addresses, etc the program would use as a reference point. <AGAIN...I may be off on this somewhat because I have not personally looked at the program, I am going on what I have heard about it.> Our customers will want somebody to do this for them, for this segment of the Internet this is where our product "shines." Not only do we screen out the unwanted materials but we will ask our end users to notify us if they ever receive access to an unwanted site. We will visit the site ourselves and idenitify what word tripped the lock and add it to our dictionary.
