DOJ presents opening testimony against Microsoft zdnet.com

WASHINGTON - In what has become a media circus, Microsoft Corp. and the Department of Justice met here today in U.S. District Court before an overflowing courtroom filled with reporters, Microsoft officials, representatives from several state Attorney General offices and DOJ lawyers.

Hey, who says I'm not on top of things? It is the OJ trial for the nerd and geek set!

As its first witness, the DOJ called Glenn Weadock, president of Independent Software Inc., a Denver-based consulting firm. During his testimony, the DOJ showed a video of Weadock uninstalling Internet Explorer from Windows 95 using the Add/Remove program.

Yeah, but all the dirty bits are still there, waiting for some unsuspecting underage game player to stumble on them. You thought porn on the internet was bad.

The court is scheduled to reconvene at 2 p.m. The hearing is expected to last into Wednesday.

The beat goes on. Stay tuned!

Cheers, Dan.
