Mark, If you use Citrix as an example, it would be even better if Sun's endorsement of Visgenic's CORBA helps them build on their already-impressive customer base. Microsoft is going to be of the major players in the computing field, of course, but they aren't going to be the de facto standard for anything they choose to do, going forward. Borland is on record as wanting to cooperate with Microsoft (it was either the last quarterly press conference or the Visigenics-announcement conference, I don't remember which); they've done a good job of positioning themselves if they can manage to be on good relations with both Sun and Microsoft! I think Borland's pushing the right buttons to gain acceptance of their way of doing Java, their way of C++, etc. Regards, Dave

Mark and all, Anyone know when VSGN's earnings will be announced. SI shows the last announcement occurred the same day as Borland. It wouldn't surprise me to see these announcements made simultaneously, a week from today. Regarding the apparent weaknesses in Borland. I cannot help but wonder, contrary to John's opinion, if the stock is being weighed down by the expectation of more bleeding from VSGN. One would think we would have seen at least some mild interest in Borland today based on Sunsoft announcement, but we didn't. Just wondering. Sam
