She is thinking my partisanship is as much out to lunch as i-nodes, because they are far right and far left. i-node is a right wing partisan and I am a left wing partisan. My guess would be, she thinks what is rational is something in the middle, a moderate. I know many people think a moderate position is the right position, but I disagree. And you and I may disagree on this one as you are more moderate than I am (although many right wingers may find that hard to believe:)>). The right social/political position is the one supported by academic research and that is found on the left, not in the middle, so I believe my partisanship position is correct from an academic point of view. The left wing is no more a mirror image of the right wing than myths are the mirror image of facts. And the middle has less social policy correct, than the left, IMO. As you know, I spent much of my life studying, designing and implementing social policy.I designed from scratch three major social programs in my state and was Director of all three agencies. That is what I did in my life. And I was good at it. And as you know, I have a masters degree in public administration (MPA) from the University of Washington and was pretty much a straight A student. I know what sound social theory is taught in a top notch university. And that one ranks near the top. It is what is the left wing of the Democratic party advocates and tries to put in the platform. Not the moderate position. Often the moderate position is a political compromise, but not the best answer from an academic point of view. I have been posting for years that the Republican philosophy is myth. It does not stand up in the academic community. It is not taught in major universities as viable positive social policy. What the left wing of the Democratic parties policy is, is based on what is taught in every major university in the world, as facts are the same around the world, as opposed to myth, as Will Durant likes to point out :)>. <<She's not talking about the party or parties. She's comparing your partisanship with Nodes. Don't try to fight that one...
