The dilutive event won't be pretty at all. They will need to do something before the year is over, and they were hoping for a more favorable stock price to do it. But as it is with the incompetence with NNVC management, they could never get their act together to get the price up. I am doubtful of any significant stock increase now. So imagine what dilution at 80-something cents will look like.

Admittedly, the fact that we have not yet realized NNVC's potential is one reason we are hovering above $0.80. But this has been true for many years. The difference is that right now investor confidence that the company and it's management can realize this potential is lower than it has been for quite a while (at least for buyers and sellers at the margin). And, as drkaz points out, suspicion is high that major dilution is in the offing.

Management raised what they thought was enough money to get us much further than they have...at least into human trials for one or more drugs. They have not achieved this, and they have not engendered confidence in their abilities to predict how much time and money it will take. If the street's outlook doesn't change soon, the next equity raise is going to be meager and painful.
