In ‘83 I traveled the length of Yugoslavia on a motorcycle before the country broke up. A buddy and I, both on BMW’s. So naturally everyone thought we were Germans, but when we said no we were Americans they would flip out saying they hate Germans and love Americans! Yugoslavia lost over a million people in that war.

Tito had just died when we were there, people were very anxious about what would happen next...

We had a great time there, gorgeous country.

Especially in China. It says something when a Nazi businessman in Nanking thought the Japanese were being too brutal.

>> The war against Germany was won by the Soviets.

It would be great to say the war against the Soviets was won by the Soviets. But it didn't start off that way. The Soviets got themselves in a jam before they were able to pull it out.
