How is Amazon stealing business? They have a great business model and shopping portal and they have earned the trust of Americans. Amazon has a very convenient service. If they can provide cheaper prices (or the same price) without having to drive and park in traffic, it's better, in most instances, to buy from Amazon, unless you need the product immediately. Then you will likely overpay.

I'm frugal and see no reason to overpay.

Winners always find it easier to get backers and investors, while losers have a difficult time raising cash.

It is not just an age thing.. It is an experience thing also.. Far too many of those older workers were overpaid one trick ponies.. An entrepreneur type can always get a job..

I agree with most of RB's post however he too is misssing the effect of automation... Tech in general and AI going forward on jobs and society.. Better jobs initially.. But fewer.. And job demand drives down wages.. Again entrepreneurs will flourish..
