The Democratic National Committee under Tom Perez and Keith Ellison filed a lawsuit Friday against President Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and associates, claiming they colluded with Russia. This is after the DoJ spent two years trying to dig up something and found nothing. There is a real bright spot here and Mark Levin pointed it out today.

By filing a lawsuit, the Democrats just opened themselves to discovery. Levin explained how a few smart lawyers can turn this around on the Democrats. This fundraising publicity stunt will have real-world consequences for them, not Trump.

I have a question to start. If the DNC knew they were being hacked, why didn’t they let the FBI look at their servers? There are so many other questions they will have to answer and don’t want to answer.

“How stupid is the Democrat National Committee? Very.” Levin said.

DNC Files Frivolous Campaign Lawsuit, Trump Campaign Responds: We Look Forward To Discovery…

Posted on April 20, 2018 by sundance
theconservativetreehouse.com

In a pathetic attempt to keep pushing the vast Russian conspiracy narrative; and trying to get out in front of growing evidence that former Obama administration, government officials, DNC and weaponized government conspired to assist Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential bid; the DNC has filed a lawsuit against the Trump campaign accusing their opposition of what they are transparently guilty of.

New York – The Democratic National Committee on Friday filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Russia, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks that alleges a massive conspiracy to swing the 2016 election in favor of the president.

The complaint, filed in federal court in Manhattan, alleges that top Trump campaign officials conspired with the Kremlin to damage Hillary Clinton and help Trump by hacking the DNC’s computers and publishing stolen emails on WikiLeaks.

“No one is above the law,” reads the beginning of the DNC’s complaint, which was obtained by The Post.

“In the run-up to the 2016 election, Russia mounted a brazen attack on American Democracy. The opening salvo was a cyber attack on the DNC, carried out on American soil,” said the lawsuit, filed by lawyer Michael Eisenkraft. ( link)

It’s actually a predictable strategy given the nature of the current pendulum swing and the increased likelihood multiple political operatives are about to find themselves in the investigative spotlight. By driving the political divisive narrative harder, the Democrats will attempt to say any criminal investigative findings are political.

The DNC lawsuit will most likely be dismissed as frivolous. However, in the event it is allowed the proceed the Trump campaign can stand to gain a great deal of information during the discovery phase. The Trump team respond:

[…] If this lawsuit proceeds, the Trump Campaign will be prepared to leverage the discovery process and explore the DNC’s now-secret records about the actual corruption they perpetrated to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. Everything will be on the table, including:
  • How the DNC contributed to the fake dossier, using Fusion GPS along with the Clinton Campaign as the basis for the launch of a phony investigation.
  • Why the FBI was never allowed access to the DNC servers in the course of their investigation into the Clinton e-mail scandal.
  • How the DNC conspired to hand Hillary Clinton the nomination over Bernie Sanders.
  • How officials at the highest levels of the DNC colluded with the news media to influence the outcome of the DNC nomination.
  • Management decisions by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile, Tom Perez, and John Podesta; their e-mails, personnel decisions, budgets, opposition research, and more. ( link)

The DNC will now have to turn over SERVERS, FILES RELATED TO THEIR PHONY PRIMARY, PAYMENTS FROM HILLARY, THE DNC TO GPS FUSION AND STEELE, AWAN PAKISTANI CLAN INFO, ETC, ETC.

If they proceed with this suit, it might end the DNC forever! We will see Dems go to PRISON by the the dozen.

DNC on Verge of a Nervous Breakdown with Russia Lawsuit

BY ROGER L SIMON
APRIL 20, 2018
pjmedia.com

At last—after what feels like decades—we have some transparency in the Russia matter!

No, I'm not talking about how the DOJ finally, after another seeming eternity, coughed up the Comey memos—although the vacuous and contradictory contents of the oddball former director's jottings might have something to do with it.

I am referring to the astonishing revelation that the Democratic National Committee (aka the DNC) is filing a lawsuit alleging Russia, the Trump campaign, and WikiLeaks conspired to disrupt the 2016 election.

The transparency here is the DNC approaching a nervous breakdown. They're seeing things and are in panic mode. What could be more transparent than that?

And they should be.
Their Russia collusion delusion is coming down all around them—it's amazing it lasted so long—with many of their stalwarts, from Andrew McCabe to a slew of high-ranking FBI and DOJ officials, and even, though less likely, some Obama insiders, fighting to stay of out the slammer.

And the inspector general's report isn't even out yet. We have only seen what Roger Kimball calls the appetizer, there being only one criminal referral (McCabe) so far. Wait until the IG starts to unwrap the FISA court scandal and the attendant illegal spying cum "unmaskings" of who-knows-how-many American citizens, the Hillary email investigation's absurd miscarriage of justice, and the whole Clinton Foundation ball of wax. It isn't going to be pretty.

At this point, pace the Comey memos, it is beginning to look as if the entire Russia investigation was itself illegal. The IG is apparently looking into that too.

You would think the DNC would have the brains to lay low or at least make some minor disavowals and hope things blow over. (Even CNN's Jake Tapper—sensing the wind shifting—was a bit tough with Comey in a recent interview.) But no, they have, as the saying goes, doubled-down on stupid.

Much of this may have been done to gin up their base, or for fundraising purposes, but they will regret it
. Impeachment doesn't play well with the public and neither will sorehead lawsuits, especially when juxtaposed with the IG's facts.

Democratic strategist (apologize for that rancid term) Julius Epstein, looking justifiably anxious on Shannon Bream's show Friday night, tried to argue this was a great opportunity for the Democrats to expose folks like Manafort and Kushner through discovery.

Good luck with that. Discovery in this matter would be disastrous for the Democratic Party. Wait until their leaders have to go on the stand to explain why the FBI wasn't allowed to scrutinize the DNC servers that were supposedly invaded by the Russians. A raft of Democrat political factotums (Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin, etc.) who made sweetheart deals and escaped true investigation by the FBI, perhaps even Hillary herself, will find themselves facing serious cross-examination for the first time. This civil trial would be curiously reminiscent of the OJ civil trial when the real truth came out.

Wouldn't you love to hear Strzok and Page deposed? How about Susan Rice?

Late Friday night, WikiLeaks put it this way on Twitter:

The Democrats are suing @WikiLeaks and @JulianAssange for revealing how the DNC rigged the Democratic primaries. Help us counter-sue. We've never lost a publishing case and discovery is going to be amazing fun:

Discovery amazing fun? I'm not sure anything could get through the dense skulls of the DNC's Tom Perez and Keith Ellison, but my guess is we're not going to have this amazing fun—not via a lawsuit anyway. The pushback against the DNC is already too great, even from a growing number of Democrats. I give this lawsuit a maximum shelf life of two weeks before we never hear of it again.

What's actually going on is nature abhorring a vacuum. The Democrats' real problem is that they don't have any policies. Other than nauseating segregationist identity politics, the Democratic Party no longer exists. It doesn't stand for anything. This lawsuit is an indication that deep down they know this and are panicking. What are they going to do if Trump makes peace with North Korea?
