Gold $12 to $1200 in 40 years is hyperflation. It already happened. But it's not over. Exponential graphs look slow to start then they go parabolically hyperbolic to asynptotically zero (to mix metaphors and hyperbole with some settled science mathematics).

Bitcoin is part of the panic to escape the MAD denouement.
