How to get rid of the BOD dead wood.

Not until the institutions decide will it be done. Then it would probably mean a change in direction for the entire company and not an opening up.

What I think would be interesting would be to follow all the procedure to get a candidate for the BOD on this year's ballot. There is only one candidate I can think of that would cause them to volunteer to resign. Lets say we could arrange a meeting of the minds between Noorda and the small investors to put our own kick ass BOD member in there with his voting support just to shake things up.

Otherwise Quad-K --- give it up.

But it takes time, money, a lot of work, and votes.
I try to save that energy for things that really matter.

I'm sure it matters to Noorda. Maybe he reads these posts and would like to shorten the process.
