Travis Reinking, age 29, who murdered four with his AR-15 in a Nashville Waffle House while naked from the waist down, has been arrested.

Police believe Reinking is yet another gun owner with serious mental problems, who in a normal society would not have access to firearms.

Early reports indicate Reinking's family immigrated to America from Germany only several generations ago, the same time period during which president Trump's family emigrated from Germany to the US. Historians believe numerous German cities were forcing undesirable and mentally ill residents to leave the region at that time.

Reinking was hunted by a task force of 60 agents from the FBI, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Police in Illinois have reported the following incidents involving Reinking which lead them to believe he's a mentally ill gun owner:

In May 2016, Reinking told deputies from Tazewell County, Ill., that music superstar Taylor Swift was stalking him and hacking his phone, and that his family was also involved, according to a report released Sunday;

Another sheriff's report said Reinking barged into a community pool in Tremont, Ill., last June, and jumped into the water wearing a pink woman's coat over his underwear. Investigators believed he had an AR-15 rifle in his car trunk, but it was never displayed. No charges were filed;

Last July, Reinking was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service after he crossed into a restricted area near the White House and refused to leave, saying he wanted to meet President Trump. Reinking was not armed at the time, but at the FBI's request, state police in Illinois revoked his state firearms card and seized four guns from him, authorities said;

The AR-15 used in the shootings was among the firearms seized;

Then, in August, Reinking told police he wanted to file a report about 20 to 30 people tapping into his computer and phone and people "barking like dogs" outside his residence, according to a report;

Reinking agreed to go to a local hospital for an evaluation after repeatedly resisting the request, the report said;

"There's certainly evidence that there's some sort of mental health issues involved," Tazwell County Sheriff Robert Huston said. But he said deputies returned the guns to Reinking's father on the promise that he would "keep the weapons secure and out of the possession of Travis";

Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said that Reinking's father "has now acknowledged giving them back" to his son, leaving police to now believe than Reinking's father is also severely mentally ill.

So cool. And the siren noise was annoying and interrupting his conversation with the mass murdering Moslem so he paused to reach into the car to turn it off.

The dopey evil doer kept drawing his weapon to get the policeman to shoot but the policeman very sensibly told him to get down rather than shoot. I guess the policeman could see there was not a grave threat to himself.

The English used to impress me too, getting cornered IRA evil doers to surrender instead of having a big shoot em up.

Americans always go crazy shooting first and hoping it's good. Interviewing the criminal is a good idea. Dead criminals can't talk though it does save trial and prison costs.

Toronto van tragedy bonds city in blood. But no one will say the word ‘terrorism’
How naive we have been, whistling by the graveyard as carnage was wrought in European and American cities, Rosie DiManno writes.
