recheck the computer reseller article here re:intel/amd siliconinvestor.com there you may find the earnings stories as they really were, sans exuberant reporting and seen in a practical light:*before they were announced, and before they were spun...* time after time, amd trots out its pr machine to tout its wares and inevitably they sabotage their own campaign with disastrous ramps. i am watching IBM closley for the possible cancellation of its most recent amd contract: should amd remain true to form, and this quarter would seem to ensure that course, i do not see how they could honor their commitment to ibm. anything is possible, but it seems their reach has exceeded their grasp.
