JH,

I am going to try this one final time. You indicated you want open, real discussion on this thread, yet nearly every post you send has a tone of harassment, name calling and/or insult. Maybe that's your style, but I will not respond to anyone who speaks to me in that manner. Call it smugness, call it whatever you wish, but I won't respond. Who loses if we don't talk? YOU do, quite simply. And that's not smugness, it's a statement of fact. There's a whole network of conversation going on out here, sharing bits of information from numerous sources, many of whom have never seen SI.
Some of the information probably qualifies as fantasy, some as rumor and some as "meat". We all have to weigh the probability of each.

New management? Have you ever participated in a management restructure, Jerome? I have. More times than I can recall, and I can tell you it is always agonizing, slow and fraught with anxiety. Combine those "normal" expectations with the host of other concerns at AGTI (most of which are equally painful for all of us shareholders)and throw in the added complexity of Bob Silzer's personal involvement with the company...you get the picture. I believe it is unrealistic to expect a changing of the guard to occur this soon after the press release. I would rather the change be made methodically, if we end up with a better final solution. A cornerstone of quality improvement which I spent years preaching at Bell Atlantic is "do it right the first time". If ten other priorities must occur before a new CEO takes charge, then I am willing to allow time for this so long as we are "doing it right the first time".

Review old posts and I think you will see I tried hard to communicate with you in a non-confrontational way. You chose to go on the attack, point guard for one of the very forces which helped to drag us down. No one will ever convince me that all posts on this board were meant to be constructive.

Finally, I need to be clear about one issue. I am NOT a blind supporter of AGTI and I am NOT happy with the performance of my investment dollars. AGTI knows this because I discuss these things with them, calmly and openly. If I had a real ax to grind, such as a call to replace management, then I would have handled it the proper way. And that way is a shareholder proposal for the annual meeting.
Airing the issue on SI is OK, too. But I see no useful purpose at all in broadcasting the message time and time again, if the complainer isn't willing to address it the proper way (shareholder proposal). I'm not talking about you specifically, but one can shoot oneself in the foot. If you've ever run a newspaper ad to sell a car, did your ad highlight every squeaky bushing, every leaky seal and every chip in the paint? If it did, I'll bet you still own that car....
