Jon:

I know you have been getting this question a lot, but since you are my account rep, I'll ask again... Any chance of seeing options trading anytime soon? I am ready to add this trading to my portfolio and would like to do so all within one Datek account... but will move on somewhere else (at least for options trades) if I need to.

If trading is not possible, any chance of getting real time option quotes soon? What about Nasdaq Level II?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Jon,

My wife has been requesting for her check since 12/18/97, up to
today she hasn't seen the check. She called last week, and she
was told that the check was sent last tuesday, 01/06. So far
no checks. She called again yesterday, and today, only was asked to
call back in the morning. She (we) needs the money NOW to close an escrow.

Can you help us with this issue? I already sent a complaint to
support@datek.com as well.

Please send me an email if you think you can help.

Thanks in advance,
SN

I have been an enthusiastic customer of Datek for a year now.

However, some of the discussion here continues to give me pause. I would like to address the various accusations of dishonesty (not the incompetence complaints) head on.

Would Datek care to post all of the complaints formally filed with them or with NASD or with any state regulator since beginning on-line trading? Are there indeed class-action law-suits outstanding as suggested in a Yahoo post? Care to reveal the details and a source for independent information? As you guys put it, an educated customer is your best customer.

To all SI folks, can you cite and enable verification of specific complaints to any regulatory agency or to a court of law?

thanks

I like using Datek a lot, but I have this lingereing discomfort that one day my money will disappear.

I also have concerns as to the safety of my funds with Datek. Please address the complaints that have been aired here re: trouble withdrawing funds and errors with personal accounts. I also maintain an Etrade acct., and they have had check writing for their subscribers from day one...Datek must have the stability and security resembling a bank or other financial institution, being that they are a fiduciary agent of our hard earned money. Any questions that call this credibility into doubt must be addressed promptly, and this forum is ideal for answering these concerns of your clients.
I don't expect Datek to answer personal or specific account questions here, but do expect a response to these seemingly very real problems with its accounting practices. Should one ever have to call twice to receive prompt payments of their own funds?

Repost of message to Datek. This doesn't deserve a response????

Mr. Normile, I would like to add my concerns re the ability to withdraw funds from DATEK. I'm one of your many clients who has not done so yet, but these stories of others having trouble getting their funds is extremely worrisome. PLEASE respond to this issue in this forum.

If you believe DATEK is being unfairly accused in any of these posts, surely you would want to respond immediately.

Thank you,
D. Kuspa
