Twatson, Never say never, never say always. Medicine is too complex while your mind is too simplistic...you must be humble or your patients are going to die on you...

I normally agree with you. However, no one man can be an expert on all things. So we make do. If you were to come into my world, I'm sure I am more of an expert on certain things than you are. So how do you get along when you are not an expert? Well, you rely on other experts. You use your ability to divine the truth through asking lots of questions and you do take into account the preponderance of the evidence and the consensus that has been formed among those experts. There have been times that I disagree with the experts. For example, I think the main stream economist of today are full of shit and can't tell the difference between good money and bad money. I also think the consensus of Fed governors is so far off the mark as to be completely worthless.

However, many Americans think the Fed is wonderful and that they help the 99%, even though nothing could be further from the truth. So I do understand your frustration in conversations like this. You believe you have an answer based on your own expert analysis. I am going with the consensus and I must seem ridiculous and idiotic to you. That's exactly how I think when I'm debating clueless people on matters of economics, finance, money, and business.

So how do we get past the impasse? Not sure. You are far more vested in this particular argument than I am. I think we should take care of the only planet we can currently live on. You think there is nothing to worry about. So we're pretty far apart on that. Maybe a river to big to bridge until facts and circumstance move us all closer together.
