The Climate Change solutions proposed by the global scientific community and by the world governing bodies, leading to the Paris Accords, are Socialism writ large. Bottom line is that the Paris Accords that Macron was trying to preach to Congress about was really nothing more than a giant redistribution scheme to steal money from the US and give it to developing nations, while the main target of the Paris Accord was to reduce GHGs by 1.5% over 75 years. What an f__cking joke! The recent corrections to the data and models, correcting for the recent 18 months of cooling and other factors have said that GHGs will only increase by 1.6% over the next 75 years or so anyway. So basically, they wanted a bunch of money from us for NOTHING. In addition, the US has reduced our GHG emissions over the last couple years by a lot, even as we have become global oil and gas super powers. Amazing what happens when you let the free markets work, eh? So I suspect you and I have more in common than not. I abhor Socialism. Anyone who knows me or has followed me on these threads know that I am a Capitalist, dyed in the wool, and have never supported the Paris Accords nor the TPP, which are both classic Socialist solutions to what I believe are real problems. When all these charlatans talk about the benefits of Globalism, really what they are talking about is how do we bilk American citizens of their money, so the rest of the world can enrich itself at our expense. When Trump talks about American First, what he means is we're open for business with all comers around the world. We believe in global economic trade, but we'll only make deals that we believe are good for Americans. Now, exactly what the hell is wrong with that? That's called being a smart business man. And at the core, this is the problem I have with liberals and Democrats...they seem to evince no understanding of economics, math, or common sense when it comes to business.
