I just don't give a shit any more. I'm not genuflecting to the barrel of a gun. Most people do not own guns. The people who do want guns want them to protect themselves against other people WITH guns. This is a moronic way to run a country. Yes, you can hunt with guns. But lots of Euro countries have hunting- but guns are tightly controlled or ammunition is, or both. That is better. It's great to be safe at night and be able to walk to a restaurant or club and not worry about being shot. That's a good way to live. That's quality of life. Guns aren't just killing people- they're killing our peace of mind and the quality of our lives. California is one of the safest places- in terms of gun deaths. Check it out. The Stats are out there. We have heavy regs- and they work. There's a lot of data on that. More regs on guns- more protection. That's what I want. Do I care if right wing idiots get shot, or shoot their kids? Not really. But they leave their guns out (50% or more store improperly) and those guns are stolen, are taken by children and teens, are available for unstable people to use on innocent lefties who didn't believe in the supremacy of the gun. There are many, many places in the world where people live happy (happier than the US) lives without easy access to guns. Rural America can blow itself to hell for all I care- but I don't want them to take other people with them. And their policies are doing that. Fin.
