I wouldn't guess that recycling styrofoam has ever been technically infeasible. Styrofoam/polystyrene is just another form of plastic. However the logistics in moving styrofoam to a recycling facility in any large quantities has to be extremely difficult given the small amount of material per volume.

It's the same with all of these companies--Agilyx has to show that what comes out of the plant is worth more than the cost of the materials, including delivery, which went into the plant.

At least Agilyx is honest enough to say they're in development and isn't claiming a workable solution yet. I'm sure they won't ever get beyond the development stage--the economics seem impossible.

As far as investment, I'm sure anyone could invest in Agilyx if they contact the company. Contact them, mail them a check and kiss that money good bye.
