Exactly my point. It's alarming. I told this story before, but my wife and I were out to dinner with some close friends of ours who happen to be liberal. The lady friend of ours is a Phd and Professor at the local public university. She's very intelligent, highly sociable, and has raised beautiful, decent children. We got to talking about all the problems in the world today and how to solve them and that turned to politics. Then she went on to say that all the problems in the world were caused by the white male. Her husband then said, "yeah, I hate white males." I almost started laughing and then stopped myself when I realized they were deadly serious. Then I had to collect my thoughts and I told them something along the lines of, "You both need to be very careful what you say. You have a white male son and that spreading of hatred will cause problems for your family directly. In addition, it's not ok to tear any group down. We need to be focused on lifting all groups up."

I was very disappointed to say the least, but what worries me is that this is increasingly common. I guess they might have felt comfortable saying those things to me, because they know I'm half hispanic, a bit black, a big native American, a bit white, and a bit of everything else in the world. So they figured I'd be sympathetic to that kind of talk. But let me be clear. I am NOT. I don't like vitriolic talk like that, because too often hateful talk turns to violence against those it is directed at. Recently, the liberals have been all to willing to engage in violence against people and property, as well as tearing down our institutions in order to bring about this new society they are hoping for. The ends do NOT justify the means. Hell, I don't even like the ends they are shooting for.

Houston, we have a problem.
