I told this story before, but my wife and I were out to dinner with some close friends of ours who happen to be liberal. The lady friend of ours is a Phd and Professor at the local public university. She's very intelligent, highly sociable, and has raised beautiful, decent children. We got to talking about all the problems in the world today and how to solve them and that turned to politics. Then she went on to say that all the problems in the world were caused by the white male. Her husband then said, "yeah, I hate white males." I almost started laughing and then stopped myself when I realized they were deadly serious. Then I had to collect my thoughts and I told them something along the lines of, "You both need to be very careful what you say. You have a white male son and that spreading of hatred will cause problems for your family directly. In addition, it's not ok to tear any group down. We need to be focused on lifting all groups up."
