Just as the trillions Bush wasted on two stupid wars and tax cuts for the rich. would have been better spent on social programs for the people and education.

Those are the issues an intelligent and empathetic person would address, not defending the right wings wasting our money like they have!!

Which wasn't the discussion we were having. I was replying to your assertion that the debt was all about defense spending and "tax cuts for the rich". Even then, and much more so as time goes on, a large part of it was entitlements. You could argue that entitlements should have increased twice as fast if you want but even if that idea is actually accepted, it still doesn't change the point that tons of money went there.
