Gary, no expert here but I believe that once a mine is marginally
profitable or reserves have to be written down, or several joint ventures are pending that would likely require future financing which is getting harder to come by will force many small mines to merge or
mothball operations. They just don't have the deep pockets of the majors and can't wait even two quarters in some cases before they start looking for help just to survive. Regards, Ron
