Jim,

1) Luke Bottica is impressive.
2) Ferrous scrap volume will increase from current 400,000 tons to over 800,000 tons with the current acquisitions.
3) Capital equipment enhancement outlays decreasing as a percentage of income.

regards,

stephen

Hi Jim,

Thank you for taking the time to listen in on RECY's conference call.
I was hoping to listen in myself, but I had no time. I hope this will
answer some of the questions which have been asked on this thread as
well as some of the poster's questions on the yahoo thread. Now if
only the stock will start to react positively, then we will be back on
track. I am sure the analysts will be digesting all of the info from
the conference call over the next few days. The next few days will
tell us what they think.IMO

Regards,
Richard

I too listened in on the confeence call. Believe it or not, none other than our own Jim Strauss was first in line for questions.

I have a couple items with a slightly different interpretation than JIm on the conference call, but overall, his summary hits the mark.

I came away with a very positive feeling. At times, it seemed like management had to be held back (I'm not sure by whom) as they started to state something very positive sounding and concrete and it was oops, can't say that (only a couple times.

There Goal for is to have a $1B run rate by the end of calendar year 1998. This is very positive and it would seem like they may be able to pull it off since they are looking at trying to acquire some larger companies.

Unformanately, I left my notes at the office, so I have to put them out tomorrow.

Overall, very positive - IMHO.

BTW - the Simth Barney guy stated something to the effect " we are very interested in RECY"

Also, they clearly stated they were not happy with the current stock price and indicate they will take action to increase exposure on the street.

Regards,
Dan

Jim:

Thanks for taking the time to sit in on the conference call and to report back to us. 1 Billion????? More acquistions???? Where did I park that truck again. Honey, throw me the keys please.

The stock price is cheap today in relation to what its going be by the end of the year.....and what about 3 years from now????

Thanks again Jim. Always appreciate your opinion (as you know).
