Where do you think the first ideas came from about democracy./republics It was a matter of constant debate in ancient Greece. They even had an election as to whether to fight the Persians.

What is a political scientist Wharf? Were those great thinkers the first political scientists? What do you think our founding fathers were??

In graduate school I had a course on foreign relations that included the history going back to the 1500's and included the WWII bombing patterns. The reading list was 60 books. I got the second highest grade in the class. Political science is as real as social science and very important to a civilized world, as is sociology another subject you dismiss.

Sometimes you sound like a right winger with your causal dismissal of things like the wisdom of the Great thinkers like Bertrand Russel, or the science of society and politics.

But it makes sense why you keep defending ignorance and dismissing the importance of the soft social sciences.

The right wing never uses them either and is the reason their policies constantly fail.

PS I also feel Plato was the first great existentialist.

<<

"It was political scientists that gave us democracy and the rule of law!"

Oh, bullshit. Perhaps you are getting it confused with philosophy.
