I don't know if I would call Kurlak a stock manipulator. Both he and Drew Peck downgraded Intel back in August and were way ahead of the other analyst who just just are spoon fed by investor relations contacts. As an Intel shareholder, I was not happy with their downgrades and the over-reaction that the market had to them, but the pendulum swings both ways. A little one way, a little the other. A big swing one way only brings a big swing back.

Too many analyst get surprised by earnings disappointments because they do not do their own research as apparently Kurlack and Peck do. When they upgrade the stock, it will go up and their reputations will be even further reinforced as to their call on the direction of Intel's stock performance. I'm not happy about it either, but I think that you may want to buy when they do finally upgrade.

JUST WATCH HIM today, if he upgrades, then he's just a follower of money flows, a creature of the sales force. Once again, he's getting too old, too tired, 6 months behind the times...(I tell ya, trading at 35, I feel old as well!!!)

Remember, Intel does not generate much origination and/or private investment dollars for Merrill Lynch, Intel has been working with Salomon, Goldman, and JP solely...Tom could be bitter as well...
