What kind of forces do the voices of reason face? Look at zzpats bio. He has 14 bans and 96 ignores. He is as smart and honest a person as I have ever seen post in almost 20 years on SI; and look at how many people were offended by the truth he posts. That is exactly what the voices of reason have faced for all of history and usually their biggest foe was some sort of dogma, religious, cultural or otherwise. The 60's was the first generation in the history of humankind to work, en masse, to replace the primitive myths and dogma with facts and reason and that was only 50 years ago. And the Republican party has been the leading purveyor of venal myths and dogma in the country for the last 100 years.
