I think we are going to see a lot of bad news in the next few days which makes me nervous. Based off the recent posts I realize that I am one of the younger members of the thread. INTC is awesome!!! So is AMAT!!! These companies will power the technology age into the next millenium. However, being in the capital equipment business I see a consolidation of smaller companies into companies which are "one stop shop". These global powerhouses have to much at stake to be dealing with smaller vendors and thus are pushing for consolidation. As a result, I think we are going to be seeing some bad numbers from some of the smaller to mid-size companies that can't shake off SEA and just pick it up in Europe. I don't want to stick my .02 in to all this "bull" excitement but I had to. The numbers are getting tough out of SEA!!!! As a result, even though they don't "drive" the NASDAQ they do influence it. IMO, AMAT will be rocking the earnings. LONG AMAT!!!!!!!!!!!! (100 in 2000).

Another article related to November semiconductor sales. Seems kind of like old news.

BB,

No I'm as bullish as ever. It's just that I'm a little reluctant to buy into the fact that tomorrow we will see THE RALLY- the one to pull us out of the nadir where we've sunk. We've had some mini-rallies, but the focus always seems to turn back to asia and then SENTIMENT turns south. Until SETNIMENT changes dramatically for this group, I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for any rally to occur. Won't be holding my breath but will be holding my AMAT<G>

Regards,

Brian

BB, >Do I detect some bearish sentiment or just caution? <
Probably just caution. You taught us well.
