My Jack Russel Charlotte growls when she is playing even with me, but it's part of her speech and a sound she makes for attention. She is friendly with dogs and other people. This can't be trained out of Jack Russells and this breed is not for inexperienced dog owners. I've never had a dog bite anyone, but because of Charlotte's feisty nature, I take her everywhere I go and introduce her to other people and pets.

Charlotte also smiles a lot and dogs do smile. :)
