The numbers are 100% for my point, because my point was just pointing out the numbers. It was a positive statement not a normative one.

You want to make a normative statement like "we should spend less on defense" well that's a different conversation. I'm just pointing out that defense is somewhere in the teens as a percentage of federal spending, not 50 percent or so, and that over time that percentage has declined and will continue to do so.
