ETrade now comes with cookies; are you aware?
I have cookie control activated on Netscape and recently I have been receiving cookie notices when viewing the News and Charts screens (Fast Qoute). I don't know how the rest of you may feel about this, but I sent an email to ETrade today as follows:
...
Cookie requests have begun appearing on the News and Charts (Fast Quote) screens. I do not appreciate this at all and I would like to hear from ETrade why this is being allowed or promoted. Whether this is an ETrade policy decision or a policy of one of your subcontractors is of no matter to me - it's ETrade's site.
If ETrade believes there is justification for placing cookies on its subscribers PCs, then the system should be set to ask permission ONCE and abide by the subscriber's response. I am sure that many subscribers are not aware that this is going on.

I will appreciate an answer.
