>I have. But a lurker that doesn't know any better could mess himself up thinking that
you take $50,000 and start throwing it at the tape is the answer to wealth and
happiness. <

I agree 100%.It takes a lot of work and a lot of time.I have met hundreds of traders over the years and most fail because they are lazy(don't want to create a system or take time to learn)or have a system and end up ignoring it at a critical time.

> I have never heard of a good trader that didn't share. <

If you mean teach some one their "systems' I have never "met" any traders who would. In fact I will tell you something stranger.Every successfull trader I have known would not want to know another successfull traders system.

Richard you have now.I am only a lowly position trader but I make a comfortable liveing at it and if money is indeed the means of keeping score i get a passing grade .Allow me to tell you why i have no intention of givening anything away for free, or otherwise .
a. i spent many years in the wildernes loseing money year in and year out whiledeveloping my system. My co workers in the construction industry drove new 4weel drive vehicals I drove junkers, lived in a slum. I put every dime I could save into the market . I remember one period working 19 days 10 hrs aday without a day off, only to lose 10 grand that year.I did not do this so someone [THIS DOES NOT REFER TO ANYONE ON THIS THREAD] who does not want to pay his or her dues and is looking for an easy road to succes, to profit from my labors. The oppertunity to make a very good liveing in the market is there for all to find . Hard work and belief in ones self are required.
b. I trade small caps and if my methods became widespread they would be comprmised.
c .Any trader worth his or her salt wants to find their own system.
If the sad day ever comes that I feel the need to use someone else's system or worse, stock picks, back to construction I go .
sorry for the the long winded soap box .
