I guess you don't remember how things were. By January 28th, 2017, inflation was running several hundred percent. Unemployment, real unemployment was running close to 50%. Blah people were running wild in the streets, targeting police and white people. Crime was out of control, at its highest in almost a thousand years. The murder rate was over 200%. Illegal immigrants were pouring across the border, most of the US was a no-go zone for almost 500 miles from the Mexican border. The cartels had taken over much of the Southwest, declared it was Atzlan and had petitioned the UN for recognition as a narco-republic. The first ISIS training camps were popping up all across the country. Obama's Negro Army was patrolling the streets, kicking down doors and confiscating guns. If you were white and didn't have your papers in order, you were whisked off to the FEMA camps. American companies faced tariffs of 80% on all exports while the US government subsidized foreign imports. The subsidies were on a sliding scale, the more American jobs the imports displaced, the higher the subsidy. Mad Max controlled most of the country.

But, like sunshine breaking through the storm clouds, all of that changed on January 29th of last year. America's long nightmare was over. Trump moved swiftly to fix all of those problems. Inflation almost vanished, overnight. Unemployment fell within days. The border wall sprang up in less than a week and ICE rounded up the hundreds of millions of illegal immigrants and forced them out of the country. Crime fell almost immediately. The FEMA camps were emptied, and the world saw for the first time the ovens installed by the Clinton Foundation for Obama's final solution. And so on...

>> A person's got to be pretty out of touch with reality to look at multi-year charts and not see economic trend lines continuing on much the same same trajectory as prior to that date. Sorry.

Yeah, not really. Actually, pretty much totally wrong.

"A majority said the president had been “somewhat” or “strongly” positive for job creation, gross domestic product growth and the rising stock market."

"Why would Trump rate higher than Obama with this group? Economists point to the upturn in business confidence that accompanied Trump’s election, and tie that to increasing business investment. Spending on capital goods accelerated sharply over the first three quarters of last year, growing at an annualized rate of 6.2 percent. "

-- WSJ poll of business, financial, and academic economists.

"As a result of this tax cut stimulus, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office recently raised its economic growth estimate to 3.3 percent for this year. This is more than double the growth rate of the last year of the Obama administration; it’s the type of growth that ordinary Americans can actually notice in their day-to-day lives."

Even more Democrats attribute the strong economy to Trump than Obama.

This article is worth reading, presenting the views of the first black billionaire who was a supporter of HRC and a lifelong Democrat. (Notably, they had to go find someone else to quote claiming it was a remnant of Obama's "trajectory.")

The point is that only superficially can one attribute any aspect of the current economy to Obama. We know what Trump did to spur the economy. What did Obama do?

You're denying Trump changed the trajectory yet pretty much everyone agrees that is not the case. And you're showing NOTHING, WHATSOEVER that Obama did to change the trajectory from what he found on taking office (other than making things worse, which did happen for a while).

It is really worthwhile to take a few minutes to digest the history of unemployment rates after Obama's election.

Note that when Obama was elected unemployment was at 6.8 and got worse (in spite of BLOWING nearly a trillion dollars starting in February which was promised would keep the rate from moving about 8%).

You do not have a leg to stand on.
