Of course not, I never said they were exactly like Hitler or the Nazi's, I said had the same mentality "adjusting" for the modern state of mind.

Those people who followed Hitler and the Nazi's lived, almost 100 years ago before modern thought and communications; same for the racists for that matter. Those people did not disappear they were moderated by modern thought, they are still with us, but their behavior has been modified, and improved by the norms and mores of modern thought.

And actually, Trump and the Republicans, have turned out to be more dangerous than most thought possible.

A 100 years ago women had virtually no rights anywhere on earth. They were the "property " of their fathers or husbands And few were allowed to even go college, or be doctors , lawyers or scientists.

In the US they could not vote and men could beat their wives and they could not easily leave the marriage.

So one has to take that moderating force, variable, and insert it into today's cultural equation. And if they do, they get Trump and today's Republican party.

That is what I am saying..
