That is such nonsense. This is a fight for our country that all true patriots and people of conscience are engaged in. I have made it a point my entire life to not succumb to any tribalism and have stood alone many times for purposes of morality.

This fight is no different than the fight against racism where I turned against my own racist clan to walk in civil rights marches and tell my clan of which there were many, they are wrong and I will not tolerate racism, or when I went against my own party to oppose the Viet Nam War.

I think I am a lot less tribal than you who are always espousing Jewish superiority over the ancient Greeks.

People of conscience have always left tribalism behind to fight corrupt governments, mores and norms. I turned against my entire society when I joined the counter culture which you thought was a party.

You are on the wrong side right now defending the Republicans; and as Eldridge Clever said in Soul On Ice: "if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.

Carl Bernstein has said this is a soft civil war and you are like Switzerland wanting to stay our of the frey.

I don't think either of you has a rational point of view, since you both suffer from tribalism, which makes you irrational. To quote mice elf quoting somebody else, "You can never overcome tribalism and jingoism with an argument. Tribalism is an irrational position, and it's impossible to defeat an irrational position with a rational argument."
However, I think you are on the correct side of issues.
