OFF TOPIC Hackers strike Silicon Investor By Margaret Kane January 13, 1998 8:13 AM PST ZDNN Silicon Investor was brought down over the weekend by hackers targeting the company's Windows NT servers. Silicon Investor's Webmaster, Jill McKinney, who described the attack as a "bonk," said the assault began early Friday. Thanks for the interesting article. Hotmail got bought out by Microsoft for 300 million!!! It's about half the market value of MRV with not much technology involved. In terms of value, SI is much more valuable than Hotmail even though SI may have a smaller subscriber base. The brothers were joking of going public in 2005, the 10th year aniversary of SI. The article is right. The competition is catching up and they better sell their company now or it will loose its value.
