Yes, this topic of precooked and then chilled potatoes has been discussed I think on another thread...

I don't know, but from what I understand if the potato is again heated it again changes its molecular structure and therefore loses its resistant quality... it has to be cold to be resistant... this also applies to rice, precooked and then chilled...

I never made homemade potato salad so I have no idea, but it can't be that difficult to figure out by looking over some of the online recipes and then modifying it to fit your personal taste...

There's also a book called The Potato Hack which I didn't read but it basically says what we've already discussed...

The book discusses the potato hack diet, very interesting and I've done it for a few days, the weight falls off quickly but it does get boring...
