I also view this as "good news".

Once again, Intel has demonstrated what many of us already know. Namely, that Intel is one of the most profitable well managed companies in the world with tremendous long term growth potential. The last six months and the next six months are all insignificant in the bigger scheme of things. The big picture is that Intel is on course to prosper, more than just about any other company, from the technology revolution which has just begun. Intel will continue to dominate Segment 0(while handing out crumbs to AMD and CYRX) but their dominance at the high end will be even more significant. There is a very very good reason that everyone is lining up behind Merced.

Mohan, I agree with you because there won't be much exciting products out in Q1.
But the other Qs could interesting
Q1:more .025 mu used on Notebook
Q2: 333, 350 mhz P II and Slot II 100 Mhz debut.
Q3: 450 mhz PII debut. Windows 98 debut.
Q4: NT 5.0 debut
Q1 99' Mercede debut.

The only concern to me is the Cloud in Asia.
