<Did you read this in the 10Q? Have a link for the 10Q?>

I am very sorry for the misinformation. I missed the last statement in the paragraph which exempts the officers and executives! This should soften the impact. I fired off my post before finishing the entire paragraph.

freeedgar.com

"On December 17, 1997, the Company's Board of Directors
approved the repricing of certain employee stock options
with an exercise price in excess of the fair market value
of the Company's common stock on January 12, 1998. The
exercise price of such employee stock options was reset
to the closing market price on January 12, 1998. All
such options retain their original vesting schedules but
are subject to a nine-month period in which exercises are
prohibited. Stock options held by executive officers and
directors were not eligible for such repricing."
From 10Q 1/13/98

<People really get upset about things like that? I figured most people wouldn't care. Of course it just goes to show that management won't suffer the way shareholders are.>

You bet they do!

<I'm with you on the below 30 part but you really think it will be halted all day tomorrow? That would surprise me.>

I meant to say in the AM only. I don't think resetting option for non-execs will be as bad as I originally figured, but still see a down open tomorrow as the rest of the 10Q is pretty scary!

I am out of 3Com until I get an indication that the channel inventory is down to acceptable levels.

Sorry for all the confusion. Hope I didn't panic anyone.

regards
Stew
