At least AMD has the pedigree and domain expertise and experience to take on the gorilla. Okay, their success has been limited. I would even say it's not worth their while either. But they do know this space. But Q? To quote the inestimable Don Rumsfelt, they don't even know what they don't know.

From a measly 1.8% to a whopping 8.7%. I have to admit most CEOs would exit a mkt where their share has been ~2% for years. So, kudos to Lisa Su for hanging in there. Otoh, is that strategic vision? Or having no place else to go?

To extrapolate past growth as future growth, congrats, AMD will soon have 300% of the server mkt.

Btw, Q has 4x AMD's free cash flow.
