Domain knowledge and expertise. Software expertise -- porting, finetuning, maintenance, support. Hardware expertise interfacing with other subsystems in the datacenter. Knowledge about customers' needs and problems both present and prospective. You know, to sell into the server business, you need to know the server business.

So, why does that fact mean that another company in the non-x86 space, but with a superior Snapdragon design, can't light a fire under the gorilla's seat?

.....you can't be serious..............you don't think AMD's EPYC has lit a fire under Intel's butt?...........your eyes are wide shut.
