To mitigate the likely ensuing unfavorable impacts, the government will help manufacturers boost their R&D and production ratios in Taiwan by expanding development and production of crucial technologies and components, and incorporating more modern management technologies. The government will also move to augment the country's tech innovation momentums by building new ecosystems associated with digital economy, turning Taiwan into a solid base for clustering global players in tech innovation industries such as the Internet, big data and IoT, and enhancing software and hardware integration capabilities at manufacturers to avoid threats from high tariffs .
