Regardless of how, when or why, there comes a point where the person has to decide if they are good, moral and honest, or immoral, corrupt and a criminal. Saying they don’t want to hurt their family or pride is no excuse. How does their family feel when they are arrested or sued in public court?

Does it make a difference if one starts out to be a criminal or decides later given their circumstances to be a crook?

If one needs to steal bread to feed their family, I believe that is a different set of circumstances.

But that is not what happened with Bernie Madoff or with Dr. Anil Diwan and Dr. Eugene Seymour.

Not that I am comparing them.
