A very significant point of the existing approach was to encourage Iran to rejoin the community of nations, and with an improved economy, their voters would likely opt to stay on that path. Dumbshit Trump is trying the opposite approach, throw their economy back to the curb, and hope that instigates positive change.

Which makes one wonder if he is paying any attention to what has happened in NK. NK achieved their nuclear/ICBM goals, and are now strutting around with the pride of being treated as an equal to the USA on the Korean Peninsula. Kim can claim victory, and with a willing USA, he can set about achieving economic goals from now on. The USA never succeeded in stopping NK from achieving its nuclear/missile goals, and now that they have them, we are finally going to start playing nice???

Do you seriously. It understand the difference between negotiations with a nuclear power and a non nuclear power to try to stop them from having nukes?

Next to impossible. I’ll be shocked if even Trump can get Kim to give them up.
