And a large part of that was the continued doubts about the USA's commitment, especially since Trump won. What company would want to invest significantly if Trump could do as he has done at any point? IMHO, the Iranians should have a long time ago told the USA to either ratify the treaty so that it was effectively implemented, or they were out.

When Iran's people are successful in ejecting a leadership which foments terrorism and disruption, they can begin to reap the benefits. You should remember it isn’t just American and Israel whomhave issues with their chronic troublesome behavior.
