5/25/2018 Contest update Back from my very enjoyable birthday celebration in the nation’s capital. However, after reading the article linked below, I regret not stopping by the Pentagon to obtain a few vouchers to pay for those delectable but expensive dinners my wife and I treated our selves to. truthdig.com Meanwhile, at Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 12.05% YTD (vs. up 8.79% YTD two weeks ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index (NBI) was up 0.68% YTD (vs. down -.16% YTD two weeks ago), the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index (SPSIBI) was up 9.69% YTD (vs. up 8.01% YTD two weeks ago), with the Nasdaq Composite Index (IXIC) up 7.68% YTD (vs. up 7.24% YTD two weeks ago). We have a new Contest leader! Our 2017 Contest winner, KMASTR’s portfolio, was boosted by the ARQL rocket into first place with a 52.03% YTD gain. ALIAS’s portfolio, up 50.72% YTD, dropped to second place, with SPTAD’s portfolio, up 49.09% YTD, slipping to third place. At Friday's close, 52 of the 62 Contest portfolios were in the green, with 50 beating the NBI and 33 beating the SPSIBI.
