>> There could be a hot war that escalates...or Iran could be very smart and tell the EU and China that they will stick to the agreement if they agree to ignore new sanctions by the US....leaving the US an outside irrelevant outside observer.

The hot war already escalated. Iran's been escalating it for years. You ever heard of Hezbollah? The Iranian Revolutionary Guard? It is estimated Iran has or controls over 70,000 troops in Syria. Plus paying salaries of 250,000 militia, according to one estimate. You need a hotter war than that?

Iran had tested some 20+ ballistic missiles since the agreement began, some capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Why do you think the Saudis are acting to drop the price of oil in the face of the crisis talk?

The United States cannot be "irrelevant" because with current leadership that would not be permitted. Perhaps you're confused about this, but there are no circumstances where the E3 are going to turn on the US in favor of Iran. Not going to happen. They may render bellicose rhetoric, but at the end of the day they know the score.

Trump is likely to re-enter the deal under more favorable terms that actually limit Iran's nuclear ambitions. At the very least he will be able to show the E3 why their policy of appeasement is unacceptable.

That does not require a hotter war than we already have.
