Not exactly the repetition I was thinking...2 days ago. The model had it pegged though.

Joe Cioffe stuff: He points out a weather feature that I believe is close to what's known as an "atmospheric river". Scheduled in the model for Tuesday night into early Wed AM. I don't believe the corridor there will be tight enough to reach that level but the opportunity for it to do so is there. Anyway, in looking for patterns that we'll see as the climate reconfigures, I figure this arrangement is possibly one to watch for repetition.

Nature bats last. When I first noticed this weather pattern [ Message 31613537 ] I did not expect it to sit there and persist long enough to get an atmospheric river event out of it. Pretty darn historic.

Listen to CNN meteorologist Tom Sater as he describes the "pattern of rain that we've been stuck in for over 2 1/2 weeks."
