Oh nooooo, Mr. Bill!!!

That, by the way, was the title of an old Wired article speculating that Anne Bingaman knew what she was doing, pre-consent decree. I used that one for a while too.

And, in my old pop/junk cultural historian mode, I must pay respects to Mr. Bill's creator, Michael O'Donoghue, 1940-1994, may he rest in peace. He was warped enough, but unlike some other SNL casualties, his demise doesn't seem to have been from self destruction. Also, another plug for imdb.com for stuff like this, Yahoo brought up about 40 SNL sites when I wanted to check for spelling, the few I looked at weren't very good, and AltaVista brought up the usual thousands of junk links, but imdb got the relevant info in about 3 clicks.

Cheers, Dan.

OFF TOPIC: >>> That's Mr. Bill to you. Oh nooooo, Mr. Bill!!!<<<

I spent xmas a few years ago at the house of the creator of Mr. Bill. He's an old freind of my brother in law, who's a computer animator.

He owns the Mr. Bill character and has been trying to come up with a marketing concept for years for him. I later watched him put together some 3d stuff for it, but it didn't have a great hook.

I'd like to help him out. Does anybody here have any great ideas for the original Mr. Bill to revive his career? Really. The crazier the better. Post here or email me.

Geez, now let me think... ;-)
