OK, let's see if I've got this straight.... Just trying to see if I can get an overall picture here. Seems to me that there has been a 2 day moratorium on the Asian crisis based on their recent bounce back (.... meeeeow ????) and consequently gold is only now going up when historically it should have gone up when the crisis was in full swing. It also seems that over the past couple of days the media has become almost exuberant about the '98 market prospects after the Q1/Q2 pause caused by the misquided Asian countries .... and, no doubt, after station identification. So I'm left with my (very humble) interpretation on the POG. As I see it, POG is now going up because the East likes gold for both jewelry AND security. Now that the markets are blipping upwards more Easterners can afford gold and are grabbing as much as they can for what rough times they see coming after the IMF dream-team heads back home. The West on the other hand is still focused heavily on paper prospects. Except, apparently, for funds which are now starting to jump on the metals bandwagon again. Prescience or sucker play ... time will tell. As for silver..... apparently it's on the way up again because everyone knows the supply has been manipulated for some time now to drive the price up but since no legal system in the world knows what to do about it everyone is now saying ...ok then, I'll take me a slice of that cake too if'n ya don't mind... and the price rebounds as the game continues unabated. My head hurts .... I'm going to sleep now.... Can people please update me on the most recent version of reality I should be adhering to tomorrow morning :-) TIA JD
