Pay for play bribery: there's no proof of this either, although I would find this far more believable, given Trump's history. In fact, I'd bet most billionaires are guilty of trying to bribe public officials....we just don't have the means to catch and prosecute them. Obstruction of justice: you can't obstruct something that was constituted illegally to begin with. Even so, Trump has steadfastly avoided firing Mueller and other than firing off a million tweets, which are not illegal, has done nothing to impede the investigation. So this is a non-starter. Even if there weren't underlying crimes, you CAN still obstruct justice and he's clearly done it. He just redefines it as "fighting back." The case against Trump is overwhelming and straight forward. The problem is people DON'T CARE that he's a criminal. Also I believe a President CAN be convicted by the Senate for crimes committed before taking office. Otherwise, we'd have to think the founders wanted the Presidency to be a safe haven for criminals.
