I think its because the social media tend to present an idealized version of everything as no one will take a picture of their unhappy selves and post it. When you look at their nice everything, you naturally get distraught because your reality is worse than what you see in others' social media pages. Now, what is your point? If you behave like an adult, then your child won't commit suicide? Your child lives as complicated a life as you.
